How would you describe The Big Show Show?
The Big Show Show is a super funny and heartwarming sitcom that the whole family will love. The series begins with Big Show retiring from wrestling and taking on the biggest match of his life – his family. I can’t wait for you to see it!
Tell us about your character, Cassy, Big Show’s wife.
Well, Cassy is just great. She’s way cooler than I am and has it together more than I ever will. She’s a fun and loving mom who genuinely gets a big kick out of her kids. At the same time, she’s a successful career woman with big plans to expand her business. One of my favorite things about Cassy is her relationship with her 7-foot-tall, 400 pound husband – they make each other laugh and have a great deal of love & respect for each other.
Melissa Joan Hart directed the final episode of The Big Show Show. How was that experience working with her?
Melissa Joan Hart is a great director – she’s incredible at directing actors, has a solid command of the crew and was a calm and steady presence during a really big episode. She also happens to be a very cool woman and it was fun to get to know her over the course of shooting the episode.
Do you have a favorite role of yours throughout the years?
I have truly loved every single character I’ve had the good fortune to play. Cassy Wight from The Big Show Show is definitely up there for me and I’ll always have a soft spot for Crazy Caroline from That ‘70s Show. She was slightly insane and incredibly passionate, and it was a dream to be able to play her.
You have two children. What have you been doing while the whole world is being quarantined? How are your kids keeping busy?
We’ve been staying home like everyone else. It’s such a crazy time. We’re homeschooling our son and daughter with help from their schools. We’ve done 7 puzzles in the past three weeks and are starting number 8 today. Last weekend, we set up the tent and camped out in the backyard – that was a lot of fun. We’ve been keeping in touch with family and friends over Zoom and FaceTime. Oh – and snacks! We’ve been eating ALL THE SNACKS.
Although Munn is not yet endorsing any candidate, she encourages people to go out and vote. “I’m passionate about getting people to the polls. I hope that everyone is paying close attention to how our leaders (both local and national) are responding to this worldwide pandemic. The best way to voice your opinion is with your vote.”
The Big Show Show is streaming now on Netflix.
